I really like the atmosphere of America.

Even when I'm in Japan, I still inexplicably want to enjoy the American atmosphere.

Before that, there's also the fact that there are many good games set in America.

Grand Theft Auto 5 ( Grand Theft Auto 5 )

It's a masterpiece among masterpieces set in America. Grand Theft Auto 5. I think many of you are familiar with it.

In the game articles I write, the name Grand Theft Auto almost always appears. lol

This is basically a game where three people who were once professional thieves each commit crimes to seize their own lives.

I can clearly understand why it's an 18+ game. lol

However, you get a lot of motivation like 'I'm going to make it big!'

Of course, you shouldn't commit crimes.

The Crew ( The CREW )

This one, like Need for Speed, is also a racing game.

And it's a game I've been completely hooked on recently.

What's truly amazing is that they've recreated not just a part of America, but all of America.

You can drive across all of America by car.

You can enjoy racing, enjoy driving, or enjoy customizing your car.

I think it's a game packed with many ways to have fun.

Watch Dogs 2 ( Watch Dogs 2 )

This was recently released (winter 2016), and from what I've seen in the videos, it looks incredibly interesting!

It's a story about hackers set in San Francisco, America. Silicon Valley is there, after all.

However, from what I've seen, it's quite similar to Grand Theft Auto, rather than just being about hackers.

In the previous game, car-on-car skirmishes and races were apparently fun.

I'm definitely buying this!

Fallout 4 ( Fallout4 )

The stage is a desolate America after a nuclear war.

So, while you can't experience actual America, a desolate America also has a unique charm and feels good.

Moreover, since it's sci-fi, once you've satisfied your craving with games set in America, playing this as a stimulus is a good idea.

It has an image where people might be divided into those who like the world view and those who don't, but I personally love it. lol

Mafia 3 ( Mafia III )

The setting here is New Orleans, America. The year is 1968.

If you want to see an atmospheric America, this is the game.

And it has incredibly high freedom, you can pretty much do anything.

The descriptions are very detailed, you can enter many buildings, and there's a lot you can do.

I will definitely buy this one too.

It seems to have a reputation for being incredibly good!

Bonus: American Truck Simulator

And here it is, American Truck Simulator!

It seems to be a game where you become a truck driver and race across the American landscape!

However, what makes it different from others is that it's a surprisingly decent game where you 'transport cargo while obeying traffic laws'.

Other games are pretty much free-for-all, you know. lol

I think it's perfect for experiencing a realistic America.

Can people who want to drive in America learn about traffic laws beforehand?

When you look for them, there are quite a few games set in America, aren't there?

And, there are quite a few masterpieces.

The home of recent Western games is still America, and I feel that many of them have excellent content in terms of both story and system.

And since the PlayStation 4, the graphics have dramatically improved, and I think it's become possible to experience a more realistic America.

For games where you can enjoy this kind of immersive atmosphere, I can't help but have high hopes for PlayStation VR.

I usually live my life traveling here and there, but even so, it's not like I can just say, 'Alright, I'm going to America tomorrow!' And since I love Japan, I want to stay in Japan.

Even so, there are times when I want to experience an overseas atmosphere, and at such times, I think it would be really fun if I could enjoy the world with VR or something similar.
