Why can’t your website attract customers?

Why can’t your website attract customers?

Almost every day, I am asked, 'How can I attract customers to my website?'
When I say 'every day,' it's not a metaphor.

  • Although they created a website, it just exists and isn't functioning at all.
  • There are almost no page views or inquiries.
  • What should one do to get inquiries and sales from a website?

Everyone uniformly has similar concerns.

However, when I listen to their stories, they often aren't even doing the 'obvious things'.

For some reason, everyone acts as if they believe 'if they wait, customers will come,' and does nothing.
Or, perhaps thinking results will come quickly, they give up on trial and error in a short period.

First, a website is a 'customer attraction device created with a medium-to-long-term plan'.
It's not for a short period, but a precise machine that takes six months, one year, or two years to carefully build.
It's natural that it won't be completed quickly.
From the beginning, it's important to approach it with the resolve to face it carefully.

If you are not attracting any customers using your website at all.
First, please carefully work on the content I'm about to discuss.

To begin with, do you have a blog or media?

First, if you don't have a place to disseminate information, nothing will start.

A website without a blog is like sand in a desert.
From a vast desert, can you find a single grain of golden sand?
It's probably impossible.

That is why the sand itself must assert, 'I am here!'
The way to assert your place is through a blog and media.

However, if you continue to spend money on advertising, you might not need a blog.
It is true that there are many sites that increase sales that way.

But don't most people want to attract customers without advertising?
Advertisements only attract customers at the time they are running.
However, when you publish content on a blog or media, the situation changes.
The content you create might continue to attract customers for several years.

Everyone desires such an automatic customer acquisition system.
Minimize advertising, and in the future, you want to be able to attract more and more customers without spending money.
The main role required of a website is probably to become an automatic salesperson.
Such people definitely need blog and media functions.

When you set up a blog, you will be able to write articles.
On your blog, write 'articles that are useful to people.'
Then, naturally, people will gather, seeking those articles.

Those who have learned about blogs probably hear this often.
If it's a self-satisfying blog, it won't lead to any customer attraction at all.
If you are not good at writing, videos or slides would also be fine.
Anyway, useful content is necessary.

If you write a blog that is useful to people, people will come.
People who visit a blog read it eagerly because they want to know information.
Then, they will want to know more about you.

Also, if it's a good article, it will be shared on social networks.
If an article is shared, more people will see it, right?
This is how blogs spread more and more.

What if your own website had such a blog?

If there was a blog that wrote articles and attracted more and more people.
Furthermore, if the articles are related to the products and services sold on your website.
Your website would become a place that "automatically attracts customers," wouldn't it?

However, if you don't persistently write blog articles, you won't be able to attract customers.
You need to write blog articles, enhancing the quality of each and every article.
You should update blog articles to satisfy visiting users to the maximum extent.

If you improve the quality of your blog and update it, the problem of not being able to attract customers to your website will disappear.

First, please incorporate a blog or media into your website.
If you don't have a place to disseminate information, it can't be helped if you can't attract customers.
And please update your blog persistently without giving up halfway.

Is there a clear path to your blog or media?

However, simply creating a blog doesn't guarantee that you can attract customers to your website yet.
To solve the problem of not being able to attract customers to your website, a little more ingenuity is needed.

That is to ensure a clear path to your blog articles.

No matter how much you keep writing a blog, it's meaningless if no one reads it.
Therefore, it is necessary to create a pathway to deliver blog articles to users.

It's rare to wander around town and accidentally stumble upon a store that has what you want.
You need a 'signpost' that properly tells you, 'What you want is over here.'
Without creating a signpost, you won't be able to attract visitors to your website.

So, how do you create a pathway to your blog articles?

First, try writing a blog with 'keywords' in mind.
High article quality is a prerequisite.
A reasonable number of characters is also necessary.
On top of that, try writing a blog with keywords in mind.

People search using keywords when they search on Google or Yahoo!
Recall when you perform a search.
In most cases, don't you search by combining words?
Not many people search by writing full sentences.

Recently, AI-powered chatbots like ChatGPT have come into use.
Nevertheless, chatbots ultimately search for websites based on keywords and so on.
Words, terms, keywords.
These fundamental search criteria remain the same even as times change.
At least, if words are the target.

Keywords connect websites and blogs with users.
Combinations of two or three words will serve as a guide to attract customers to your website and blog.
When writing articles, when creating a website, when creating content.
Always make sure to include keywords.

Also, in conjunction with keywords, let's gather people on social networks.
Mainly, we will gather people focusing on X (formerly Twitter), Threads, and Facebook.

However, some people may not be good at writing.
In that case, you can leave the writing to someone else, and it would be fine to distribute videos and images on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
In any case, if you increase your followers on social media, it will be easier to attract customers to your website.
Especially if users become fans, there is no more powerful customer acquisition weapon than this.

Let's deliver blog articles more and more through social media.
Users search for the keywords mentioned earlier and arrive at the articles themselves.
Especially with Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and Threads, you can deliver articles to users.

However, of course, the articles must be what the gathered users are looking for.
You gather users who are likely to be looking for your articles on social networks.

So, how should you gather people on social networks?
Actually, from here on, is the most important part for selling products and services.
We will also explain methods for gathering people on social networks in future posts on our company blog.

Are you recycling content?

Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, etc., an era dominated by videos and images, that is now.
Despite that, why do we promote articles from media and blogs so much?
There is an important reason for that.

ChatGPT, the first AI service to become firmly established worldwide.
It is bringing disruptive changes to the internet, such as replacing search engines.
Many people are probably already using it.

And ChatGPT is a ChatBot, a service that allows you to interact with AI through chat.
Here's a question for everyone.
Why was a ChatBot service that interacts via text the first one?
Why did Open AI, the developer, prioritize 'text' over sound or images?

That's because text is the origin of everything.

If you consider videos, images, and audio from the perspective of 'handling information,' all of them involve words.

For example, videos.
While there are videos without words for entertainment, what about in terms of knowledge and information?
Ultimately, explanations using seminars or slides are based on words.

The same goes for sound.
If it's not entertainment music but rather the aspect of knowledge, it's put into words.
Many people probably engage in 'ear learning,' listening to someone's lectures or talks during their commute to work or school.

The same applies to images.
For content that satisfies intellectual curiosity, there are slides, manga, and so on.
Catchphrases, for example, likely have the function of emotionally influencing people.
Even for illustrating, if you first have text, it's easier to create illustrations.

Ultimately, if you create one piece of writing, it can be derived into all content.
Once you write an article on your blog, you can read it aloud and turn it into lecture content.

It would also be good to cut out a part of a video and upload it as a short video to Instagram or TikTok.

Furthermore, you can extract only the audio from a video and create a podcast for auditory learning.
You can also stream it as audio on Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube.

You can also cut out just a part of a blog post and share it on X (formerly Twitter) or Threads, right?

Then, content that received a large response on social media can be further explored and written about on the blog.
This will then attract more visitors to your website and blog.

If you write, videos, audio, social media posts, and images all become material.
That is why writing is important, and I can say loudly, 'Let's start with writing.'

Please create blog articles with content recycling in mind.
With minimal effort, you can create content for all types of media.
Even one person in charge should be able to disseminate information on multiple platforms.

Are you making an effort to gain trust?

Offline customer acquisition and website customer acquisition are fundamentally the same.
As long as products and services are sold among people, the other party is always a person.
If so, there is always something necessary, regardless of the form.

That is 'trust'.

The reason you can't attract customers or generate sales on your website is because there is no trust.
You need to gain overwhelming trust.
Even if the other person isn't in front of you, you need something that will make them trust you.
Whether or not you can gain that trust is the key.

For some reason, when it comes to attracting customers through a website, people tend to forget that 'there's another person involved'.

For example, what would you do if you actually met a customer?
How would you interact with them, and how would you sell your products or services?
You would sell in a way that gains trust and doesn't damage it.

If there is no trust between people, between you and the other person, products and services will absolutely not sell.
You almost never buy something from someone you don't trust.

I myself have experienced this many times.

It doesn't sell via the website, but it sells when you meet in person.
Meeting in person, talking, and acknowledging each other leads to a purchase.

In other words, it's important how much 'trust at the level of meeting in person' you can gain on your website.
Please consider what kind of website that would be.

There are various ways to gain trust.

How can you gain trust comparable to meeting someone in person?
What exactly can you do to make the other person trust you more?

When the trust between you and your customers can be built through your website or blog.
The problem of 'not being able to attract customers with a website' should have disappeared somewhere.
Building trust can be said to be the biggest hurdle in attracting customers with a website.

Here, I will tell you just one way to gain trust.

The way to gain trust is to increase communication.
With any person, if you frequently engage in necessary communication, trust will gradually develop.
In other words, it's important to persistently interact with users through your website and blog.

When you consider communication, the way you write blog posts also changes.
It should be rewritten into words that evoke a greater sense of familiarity for users.
Even the writing style should evolve into a more understandable form.

When you communicate with people, how do you think you can be trusted?
In reality, the trust gained through a website and the trust gained offline are fundamentally the same.
If you're struggling to attract customers with your website, try thinking about human relationships for a moment.

Let's work on it carefully and patiently.

Attracting customers with a website requires considerable patience.
Because you need to build the trust that is established offline, through your website.
Conversely, if someone has already gained trust offline, their website marketing will likely also succeed.
Since there is already trust, they should possess the elements that lead to sales.

Many people give up halfway, thinking that websites can't attract customers.
If you don't give up and steadily build trust with users, you will be able to attract customers.
If you continue to firmly grasp user trust, there's no such thing as not being able to attract customers.
Don't give up; try to proceed while experimenting and making adjustments.

Let's communicate patiently with users.
Beyond building trust, a future awaits where you can semi-automatically attract customers with your website.
