When do opportunities come? The one important thing to seize real opportunities.

When do opportunities come? The one important thing to seize real opportunities.

Hello. This is Kamiyama.

I've been a bit busy.
The company I invested in is releasing a new business.
It's a platform that supports mentors and teachers who deal with mind and body in attracting customers.

It will be offered for 4,980 yen per month, and marketing has finally started to move.
Once it's a bit more settled, I'll let you know again.
They will be attracting customers using quite interesting methods, so look forward to it.
I plan to write about those things in the 'Job Creation Textbook'.

There are really many ways to attract customers.
It's like a canvas where you can freely draw your methods.
It's fun to think of your own original customer acquisition methods.

Now, let's get to the main topic.
Today's topic is about 'chance'.

You want it, right, a chance.
But if you misunderstand how to think about it, a chance will never come in your lifetime.

How do you all think about 'chance'?

Do you think it's something someone gives you?
Do you think it's something very lucky people can obtain?
Or do you think it's something you seize with your own ability?

The other day, I saw this tweet on Twitter.

Life is interesting because you never know where a chance will come from.

What kind of image do you all have when you hear this one phrase?
When you hear it suddenly, it sounds like something ordinary, nothing particularly strange.
However, the impression I had was completely different.

I completely thought, 'What is this person talking about?'

Up until now, there have been many events that might have been opportunities.
Certainly, there have been times when I've had similar thoughts.
However, amidst such experiences, there is only one thing I can state with certainty.

That is, 'it must be an opportunity that you intentionally created yourself.'

Stories that emerged from nowhere, or stories that seem like opportunities at first glance.
These will almost certainly, with about a 90% probability, not turn into stories of significant value.
In the end, it just takes effort, and you receive a small reward, and that's it.
No matter how good a story seems, stories that just fall into your lap don't lead to growth.

Why is that?

Because your own will thinks it's lucky to receive an opportunity.

To achieve something great, you need your own overwhelming will.
There are hardly any people who have earned easily or climbed to their current position without effort.
Only those who decide to absolutely accomplish something themselves and see it through thoroughly will achieve it.

That is why I firmly decide that I will absolutely see this through.
I choose my own path and don't even glance at opportunities that just pop up.
Ultimately, if you think carefully, most stories you thought were opportunities will become opportunities.
If you have the determination to see things through thoroughly, most stories you receive will be opportunities.

But the problem is deciding which one to pursue and seeing it through with your own will.
And those who decide to start seeing things through at an early stage will grow.

Indeed, in life, you never know where opportunities will arise.
However, as long as you think an opportunity is an opportunity, you won't win.

An opportunity is merely a 'chance,' and it is you who truly transforms a 'chance' into an 'opportunity'.
If you don't have the resolve to complete that task with all your might, the opportunity will remain just an opportunity.

Therefore, even if you receive some opportunity, don't get carried away thinking, 'It's a chance!'
Ultimately, it is only you who can make something of it.
It is your own will that nurtures the opportunity you've gained into a true chance.
In other words, a true chance can only be prepared by yourself.

As long as you treat it like luck or something similar, it's no good at all.
It's no good if you call something an opportunity when you don't know where it comes from.
An unintended opportunity is nothing more than a common occurrence.
Only when you pull it in with all your might can you truly call it an opportunity.

Let's complete it with overwhelming focus.
Let's create opportunities with our own strength.
When you reach that feeling, there are many things you will see for the first time.

For the past few years, I have never felt or spoken of such a thing as an opportunity.
Not even once.
Looking at these X (formerly Twitter) tweets, I realized it after a long time.
Come to think of it, a word like 'chance' that relies on others really existed.

If any of you encounter some kind of opportunity, please never get carried away.
Please believe that the moment you get carried away thinking it's a chance, success will vanish.
A chance is only a chance because you desperately pull it in yourself.

It is said that a chance obtained by relying on others will lead to you being taken advantage of.

To say that life is fun because you don't know where a chance will come from.
That's ridiculous.
Not knowing where a chance will come from is proof of being utterly useless.
Because a chance that truly creates value is something you desperately set up yourself.
