Lately, I'm often told this.

Mr. Ueyama, aren't you doing too much, from school to personal branding, studying abroad, DJ school, media, web services, and so on?

No, no, no.

I have to do more!

That's what I personally think.

"Dynamism"There's a keyword called that.
The one that Go Takashiro said.

Who is Go Takashiro, you ask?

He's a hyper media creator!

A hyper media creator is amazing, isn't it?!
It's amazing that he can call himself that, isn't it?!

He was Erika Sawajiri's husband quite a while ago.
He has many fans among travelers, and they read his newsletter, don't they?

By the way, Takashiro-san is truly hyper as a creator too.

He was also the director of the Tokyo 2016 Olympic bid video.
He also produced the anime for Takashi Murakami and Louis Vuitton.

He's doing really great work.

Studying abroad in Cebu Island is popular, but…
It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that Mr. Takashiro made that popular.

Don't be fooled by the craziness of the title 'Hypermedia Creator'!
I think the 'Future Research Institute' newsletter he publishes really captures the essence of the times.

So, what is 'Tadoriki' (multi-activity/polymathic power)?

And so, 'Tadoriki'. What exactly is 'Tadoriki'?

Simply put, it's the power of being hyperactive, wanting to do many things simultaneously and immediately, and being unable to resist.
It seems like Elon Musk is like that.

Apparently, he tries to tie his tie in the morning, but while he's tying it, he wants to do the next thing, so he can't tie his tie.

By the way, my understanding of 'Tadoriki' might be a bit different from yours.

In reality, while I do many things in a hyperactive way, I believe it's better to focus on one thing when it comes to work and projects.
Focusing on one thing makes it easier to succeed.

However, what's important is when and where to use it.

The balance between doing many things in a hyperactive way and the timing for dedicating oneself to one thing.
And I think it's better to consider what to be hyperactive about, and when to focus on one thing.

It's about distinguishing between hyperactivity and focus.

So, where should we distinguish between them?

Well, it's simple.

When launching a business in this day and age, invisible thingsit's becoming necessary to target.

As I often write on my blog, there are all sorts of products and services in the world, so many that you might think we don't need any more. Everything that humans can imagine within the realm of common sense has already been created.

Given this generation, if you were to launch a new genre of business, you'd have to approach it with completely unknown, crazy thinking that goes beyond conventional wisdom.

At the same time, because you're doing something unprecedented, the future is unclear.

Honestly, you won't know how many customers want it until you actually try it.

At this point, there's no choice but to try various things. You need to experiment through trial and error, trying out one idea after another that you think might work.

Even Silicon Valley investors can't predict what will be a hit. From an investor's perspective, even if they invest in 100 companies and 99 fail, it's okay if just one grows into a global enterprise.

That's why, when pursuing new ideas or unknown challenges, you need to continuously release 'minimal products or services that embody your concept or vision' into the market. After that, it's a gamble to see what hits.

Therefore, when launching new methods or services, the idea is to be hyperactive and just release them.

Conversely, when do you focus on one thing? That's when you're dealing with breaking into an existing market" or "something where a chance of success became visible as a result of hyperactive movement."This is when such a situation arises.

You can win in existing markets by thoroughly building up. It's a competition, after all. If you focus and build up there, you'll eventually win. It's about how much time and effort you've invested.

For 'things where a chance of success became visible' as a result of hyperactive movement, it's clear. You just have to do it.

Unless you enter the 'just do it' stage, you remain hyperactive. You do various things.
I think this is reasonable for the current era.

There's also the question of when the stage of seeing a chance of success arrives, but that's for another time.

I think 'hyperactivity' is the power to conduct a treasure hunt as quickly as possible.

Hyperactivity can be understood in various ways, but my view is as follows.

To find treasure buried on a sandy beach, all you can do is dig. You just have to keep digging and digging. I think that's a very hyperactive activity.

You dig everywhere, and once you find a treasure chest, you desperately try to open it.

Focus when you're trying hard to open this. There's treasure right in front of you. Of course, you'll focus and try to open it. Well, sometimes after you open it, it turns out it wasn't treasure after all!

Well, in that case, it was a shame. You just have to fully unleash your multi-ability again.

No, but still, I don't know what Mr. Takashiro was thinking when he came up with the word 'multi-ability,' but he created a very convenient word.

If this word spreads, it seems like people who criticize you for doing various things might disappear.

Ah, that person is unleashing their multi-ability, I guess that's how it will feel.

So, the main topic of this article is,

The hypermedia creator was indeed hyper.

That's what it comes down to.

No, you're a hyper media creator!

So, everyone, let's make the most of our multi-ability and live life to the fullest.

I'm sleepy, so I'm going to sleep!

P.S.

By the way, it seems Takafumi Horie is also publishing a book about multi-ability soon.
I'm looking forward to seeing what it's about.
