What I learned from them was a way of working that completely overturned my previous concept of "work."

A group of entrepreneurs I met while studying abroad in America.
It was when I was tilting my head, wondering "What's that?" at the word "entrepreneur."

I, along with them, stopped by a certain family restaurant.
It was a completely ordinary, usual lunch.

It began spontaneously, from no one in particular.

"What if we did something like this?"
"Wouldn't it be interesting if we tried something like that?"

A sudden exchange of business ideas.
In a natural flow, proposals began to fly back and forth, without anyone knowing when it started.

A table in an ordinary family restaurant.
Using the paper napkins on the table as a notepad, the discussion progressed.
The discussion deepened, with no one denying anything, yet without losing composure.

What was most impressive was their expressions, full of excitement.
Faces that couldn't wait to see the new story that was about to begin, as soon as possible.

The discussion lasted for three hours.
It was so much fun that I carelessly missed my next class.

And then, the next day.

“I made it!” the engineer said, happily bringing a prototype of the product.

I was surprised that a prototype could be made so quickly.
Looking back now, he might have been a genius engineer.

We looked at the prototype, got excited, came up with more ideas, and recorded them.
Not a single person participated in the discussion thinking, “This is boring.”

Meeting them was probably the moment I experienced “starting a business” for the first time.
My concept of work began at that family restaurant.

After finishing my study abroad and returning to Japan, everything started to move.

A year after returning to Japan from my study abroad in America, I received an email from them.
It was the kind of content that made even me, the reader, smile.

“The service we talked about back then was sold to a company! I’m moving to New York, so come visit!”

I heard they sold the service at the time for a considerable amount.
However, they weren't content with that achievement and were going to take on a new challenge.

Hearing their story, I realized that my perception of work, that “this is how it should be,” had solidified within me.
For them, taking on challenges and creating work must be on the same level as “breathing.”
That was also when I gained that feeling.

Meanwhile, I was also working as an event organizer at the time.
I organized events at Japan's second-largest club and gathered 1,000 creators for events.
Even so, their success spurred me on, making me feel that I could still do more.
I remember feeling like I had received courage, and I couldn't sit still.

A few days later, with an invitation from a friend, I decided to hold an event in Hollywood, America.

Once decided, action began immediately.

I used up all my savings at the time to prepare and bought a ticket to America.
I ran out of money so much that I didn't even have train fare for the way back, so I had to borrow from a friend.

The preparation period was three months.
Working in conjunction with my friends in America, we created the event at the fastest possible speed.

As a result, despite being in a foreign land, we attracted over 200 people.
Not everything was a huge success, but it was a well-executed event.

After that, I became independent at the age of 25.

While challenging various businesses, in my first year, I generated over 10 million yen in revenue.
In the second and third years, I also expanded into marketing, consulting, events, and shared office management.
I consistently generated 10 to 20 million yen in revenue and became accustomed to launching new ventures.
I also felt that I was gradually gaining freedom.

However, during that time, what was always on my mind was the scene at the family restaurant where I talked with them.

Certainly, at that time, for someone who had just become independent, I might have been enjoying my work.
But there were many outsourced jobs, and I didn't have the luxury to say, 'Let's try something like this!'

I had a feeling that helping with someone else's projects or challenges wasn't quite right.
What we were looking for was the excitement of creating new work ourselves, saying, 'Let's take on this challenge!'

They created work as if playing, and continued to challenge themselves as if breathing.

Saying 'as if playing' might be a slight misrepresentation.
I know there are many difficult things now that I've started creating my own work.

But the hardship of fully realizing what I want to do is "fun and exciting."

Ideas and challenges born from excitement become work, and then money.
Is there any other job as wonderful as this?

As if memories were pushing me, in 2014, I made up my mind.
I entrusted all my businesses to others and established a school for creator training in the Philippines.

It was a big gamble, where I might lose all my assets.
I was determined that I had to do something of that magnitude to put my life on my ideal path.

At this time, I felt like I had finally caught up to the "job creation" I first saw at the family restaurant.
Arriving approximately 8 years late. I thought, "It took a long time."

Coming up with ideas and bringing them to fruition was simply endlessly enjoyable.
All the difficult things were wrapped up in excitement.
I truly felt from the bottom of my heart, "There's no job more enjoyable than creating the work I want to do myself."

As a result, in 2015, I sold the business I started in the Philippines and returned to Japan myself.
After accomplishing work on my own, I felt like I understood "the reason why I can create work as if breathing."

Being able to create work myself is incredibly fun.

Creating work is an incredibly enjoyable thing.
You just need to give form to what you want to do or what you wish existed.

It can be at a family restaurant, a nice cafe, at home, anywhere is fine.
Without choosing a place or time, freely realizing what you want to do, that becomes your work.

It's nothing special.
You just need to slightly change the way you use your mind, which you always use for work.

The same goes for side jobs.

In the world, there are jobs like piecework or writing for a few hundred yen, which consume a lot of time for little money.
No matter how much you do, time just passes, and in most cases, you can't get money or fulfillment.

On the other hand, there are countless ways to create exciting work using the same amount of time.
If everyone used the same amount of time and effort to create the work they want, everyone should already have their own job.

However, even so, the majority of people might say, 'I don't know what to do or how to do it.'
Many people probably don't know where to start and say they feel anxious.

In fact, I was the same.

That's why I've continued to create work until now.
Precisely because I didn't know, I struggled to understand.

How can one create work with excitement, as naturally as breathing?
I have thoroughly researched and experimented.
Over 10 years, everything I learned and experienced was recorded in notebooks and text files.

What sold, how to build a business, what led to the fastest monetization.
Even now, the records obtained from 10 years of challenges and experiences remain with me as a 'textbook for creating work.'

Looking back, it feels like the 10 years since returning from studying abroad have been a challenge of 'how to create work.'

And now, I am involved in entrepreneur training.
How to build a business, and how to reach monetization.
We help people who started from zero to reach the next level.

Are you excited about your work right now?
Do you go to bed every day imagining interesting things, wondering what you'll do tomorrow?

Are you struggling financially?
Aren't you thinking of working a little harder to update your life?

In my case, as a result, I've become able to travel around the world and spend every day with excitement.
Every day is a series of exhilarating challenges, wondering what I'll embark on next.

That's why I want more people to live with the same feeling.

If everyone can create work with excitement, the world will surely change.
In an instant, interesting challenges and experiences will overflow throughout Japan, becoming significant endeavors.
Isn't it wonderful that individuals working with excitement leads to the development of society?

It is said that Japan is currently falling behind the rest of the world.
But if each person can challenge themselves as naturally as breathing, as playfully as playing.
If we can create work with a sense of exhilaration, society should become even more enjoyable.

A daily life full of stress is a waste.
It's painful to be afraid of future uncertainties and unable to do what you want.

If you can create your own work anytime, anywhere, all problems will be solved.

To turn the thought 'I want to do that' into a business and monetize it, whenever the idea strikes.
If you can acquire such skills, a world of much greater freedom and excitement will open up to you.
