After reading the blog written by the genius programmer who is currently a hot topic, I found many things that made me think 'I see,' so I wrote down my personal interpretation. Please note that these are truly my personal thoughts, so I'm not seeking discussion on this. lol I would be happy if you could take it as one way of thinking.

Developing the ability to think logically is quite useful, or rather, a convenient way of thinking for problem-solving. But when you think about it, if you keep consciously thinking logically, you gradually start thinking logically even without being conscious of it.

This is something that people who master logical thinking skills in their work commonly say. For example, if you keep using a thinking tool like a logic tree indefinitely, eventually, the dozens of problems that a logic tree would derive the moment you find one, you'll be able to derive them instantly.

I actually feel this myself. When I find a problem, what used to take hours to form a hypothesis, now, I think several hypotheses come to mind instantly. Of course, not dozens.

When I think about it, when I participated in a business creation workshop, some people could come up with 30 solutions or hypotheses for a problem in 10 minutes, while others couldn't even come up with 5. I realized this completely depends on how much they have continuously thought about hypotheses for problems and how much they have used that 'thinking' itself to the point where they can do it 'without even being conscious of it'.

Most people don't regularly use the kind of thinking required to solve complex problems. As a result, of course, such thinking doesn't become ingrained.

Among junior engineers, even starting from the same zero point, some ask for answers a lot, while others think and solve problems themselves. I think it's the same thing. The former doesn't have much experience solving problems logically, so the thinking isn't ingrained. Therefore, even now, they need to increase their thinking volume and train themselves before asking questions. If you train your thinking itself, you'll be able to solve problems without asking about everything. This directly relates to whether one can handle jobs with complex problems.

Considering this, whether it's logical thinking or design thinking, it means reaching a realm where you can eventually do it without even thinking, where you can apply that way of thinking. Ultimately, I think it can be said that it 'becomes intuitive'.

We might be continuously and consciously using the thinking frameworks devised by many great people, such as Kenichi Ohmae and David Kelley, in order to eventually be able to use them 'without thinking' and 'intuitively'.

The (x) thinking is, so to speak, the correct batting form.

In other words, the thinking frameworks that humans call logical thinking or design thinking are merely one part of the practice process, and I felt that they could also be called training methods for people who can't handle them intuitively, until they can.

When you think about it, people called geniuses in the world might not have needed to be conscious of these things because they 'realized and acquired them' somewhere in their lives, at some point in their growth process. I used to be in the tennis club, and occasionally there were people like that. People who could hit with the correct form even without practicing that much. They even went to the Inter-High School Championships.

Whether it's the design thinking of Steve Jobs or Edison, or the logical thinking of a genius programmer (personally, I don't really like the word 'genius' itself), if it has become ingrained without you realizing it, just like speaking Japanese, then there's no need to use frameworks as practice methods for it.

Analyzing the thinking of geniuses and making it accessible to everyone is what thinking frameworks are.

However, if you ask whether everyone is like that, thought training also evolves with the times, and you could say, that great people analyze the thoughts of geniuses, interpret them, turn them into logic, and make them accessible to everyone to help us approach geniusthey do.

I think that's the evolution of the times, and even ordinary people, if they undergo thought training, can approach the realm of genius. I believe the current era is making that possible.

Therefore, I think both logical thinking and design thinking are ultimately just practice methods, training methods, to internalize things into 'intuition.' Just like swinging a baseball bat or tennis racket hundreds of times a day, you use 'logical thinking' and 'design thinking' as a form, and in the end, you use intuition to hit with the correct (at least, currently considered correct) form. That's what made me think that this article might be the essence of some kind of (x) thinking.

Indeed, when I think about it, I don't remember making an effort to learn Japanese; I just use it by feel. But people learning it as a second language initially need to think about how to use it. I feel like I used to think a lot when using HTML and CSS, but now, if I'm just shaping something, my hands move on their own, so it's just a trivial task. If I were using Vue or something, it would be different. It was enjoyable because it made me think about various things. It was good stimulation.

Even so, I don't really like the word 'genius' because it seems to vaguely represent a person's entire process with just that one word. And since the genius programmer himself says there's no need to make an effort, he probably doesn't feel like he's worked hard, so there's a complex feeling of unease. Lol
