Hello. This is Kamiyama.

It's often said that life is short.
I've really been feeling that speed recently.
Before I knew it, it's already August, isn't it?
I thought it was March just recently.

Just the other day, I thought I turned 30 in Cebu, but now I'm already 32.
My senior colleagues told me, 'Life speeds up after 30.'
I thought it was just a joke again, but it was true.
I still have visions I want to achieve, so I need to live life even faster. lol

Now, last time, I wrote about the eight businesses I'm working on.
I'm happy to say that after reading my article, I received a question.
Since I have the opportunity, I'd like to take this chance to answer the question.

Hello! I'm someone who read your previous article.
This time, I contacted you because I have one question I'd like to ask.
Normally, I hear that when doing business, it's better to focus on one thing.
By proceeding with multiple things simultaneously, won't the quality of a single business become diluted?
Also, how are you able to manage eight businesses?
I would appreciate it if you could tell me for reference.

Yes, I will answer.

First, there's the question of whether doing multiple businesses will spread each one too thin.
To answer immediately, no, it won't be spread thin.
We are fully committed to making all of them successful, delving deep into each industry.
However, it's impossible for one person to be a professional in everything.
So, how do we deepen our understanding of each business?

The answer is, we partner with professionals.

We combine the expertise of professionals with my business knowledge.
We partner with professionals interested in entrepreneurship and conduct numerous interviews.
Then, while understanding the industry and consumer psychology, we build our services.
We generate ideas, combine methods from different fields, and that's how interesting ideas are born.

In business, exciting ideas are born from the combination of different industries.
We combine the common sense of one industry with the common sense of another to create new concepts.
This is a common method for generating new business ideas.
It's a fundamental approach to idea generation.

And they are the protagonists who actually talk about the business and vision, moving the story forward.
As a co-manager, I play a supporting role, acting as an amplifier for their expertise.
People specialized in the industry lead, and I handle all the preparations behind the scenes.
That's why it functions well as a single team.

The combination of different fields creates interesting interactions during discussions.

I play the role of bringing IT and business logic into every industry.
From technology to sales methods and branding, we handle everything that professionals in each field cannot do.
That's what makes it so incredibly interesting.

Surprisingly, when you become a professional, expertise and problem awareness emerge, but solutions don't.
This is due to various reasons, such as being trapped by common sense within the same industry, or having rigid thinking.
I propose new approaches to this kind of rigid thinking within expertise and industries.
Then, as we continue brainstorming, new forms of businesses sometimes emerge.

I believe that it's sufficient for the entire team to be industry professionals.
For example, even general companies, while specializing in their own work, may not understand the work of other departments.
An in-house designer, while knowing how to present things well, is not a professional in how products are made.

Furthermore, when creating a new business, combining it with methods from completely different fields can work effectively.
In fact, precisely because there are people next to you who know completely different fields, approaches that break industry norms are more likely to emerge.
Breaking through professional norms and standards with ideas, knowledge, insights, and technology.
I'm very excited by that way of working.

In any field, the method for generating sales is common, and I know that method.
Then I should collaborate with someone's professionalism, generate sales, and turn it into a business.
That kind of approach suits me, and I'm really enjoying doing it now.

A skilled consultant can rebuild any business.
I myself aim to make businesses successful, regardless of the situation or industry.
On that one point, I am thoroughly practicing and digging deep.

Creating and succeeding in businesses with every method, in every industry, in every location.
What I aim for as my ideal is such a vision.
That's why I'm challenging myself to try to launch eight initiatives.

The most effective entrepreneur development is when experienced individuals build businesses together.

Also, building a business with someone like this is part of entrepreneur development activities.
Rather, that is my vision and what I want to do.
I have continued entrepreneur development activities through seminars, courses, and temporary programs.
That's why many people who are interested ask me for lectures and consulting.

However, lectures and consulting are not approaches that reliably lead to results.
It's merely support, temporarily transferring knowledge and experience, and that's where it ends.
I don't know if the people who actually took the courses achieved results.
I've already experienced that results are limited to a few in that way.

So, how can we achieve the best results?

The most effective entrepreneur development means working together and creating businesses together.
As proof, everyone I've built businesses with so far has actually taken action and shaped their businesses.

Such as opening restaurants overseas, becoming independent with specialized skills, or creating businesses with new concepts.
Why didn't I realize this until now?

Truly effective entrepreneur development is about teaming up with someone who wants to learn and building a business together.
It's about experienced individuals joining everyone to create businesses.
I now understand that this is the most effective way to develop entrepreneurs.
The results are incomparable to simply giving lectures or seminars.
When compared, the results are overwhelming.

I myself can start a business alone and monetize it.
However, the first step is not like that for everyone.
Working together to create a business and new work with someone.
I understood that this activity itself is the training method that can produce the greatest results.
That's why I continuously partner with professionals to create businesses.

My vision is 'to make entrepreneurship thoroughly understandable so that anyone can do it'.
It is about creating an environment and an ecosystem where anyone can create a business.
It is about making it something that can be started with a feeling of 'maybe I'll give it a try'.
And the goal is to bottom-up entrepreneurship as a whole.

Accumulating and passing on experience by starting a business with someone.
It is the most effective way to help people acquire more concrete business creation skills.
Rather than teaching, it's about sharing methods and creating together.
Then, strangely enough, business skills are acquired before you know it.

The most wonderful mentor in entrepreneurship is not just someone who teaches you.
You need an experienced person who will create a business with you.
Trial and error with you, sharing information, knowledge, and experience, and actually creating a business.
Such an experience dramatically improves business skills and mindset.
There is no doubt about this.

Therefore, it is better to do it than to attend seminars, courses, or study groups.
It is much more likely to succeed if you find experienced people, start a business together, and go through trial and error.
Basic knowledge and methods are now available on the internet.
If you want to know specific and systematic content, there is also AVERY, which is currently under development.
A place to learn systematic entrepreneurship and business creation for 540 yen will be ready soon.

If there are experienced people around you, consult them immediately and try starting a business together.
If you don't have experienced people, you should start by yourself, even if it means going through trial and error.
The saying 'seeing is believing' is almost made for business creation.
Conversely, you won't truly understand anything without trying it.

Even a good business won't succeed if it doesn't fit the times; you can't perfectly predict it.

There is one more reason for continuously creating businesses like this.
The other day, an interview with the founder of BASE was published in an article I shared.
He said, 'No matter how good a service is, it won't succeed if the timing is bad.'
Perhaps many of you have seen it.

A business riding the wave of the times is not something that can be easily predicted.
Even if you believe something is absolutely good, it will fail if it doesn't fit the times.
This is true even for Silicon Valley investors.
Even when they judge that there's a high probability of success, examples of bankruptcy are endless.
Ultimately, you need to try many times to hit upon a successful business.

That's why Y Combinator, often called the world's strongest entrepreneur training institution, invests small amounts in many startups.
Instead of investing money, I myself am investing effort, technology, knowledge, and insights in this way.
If we follow modern logic, starting with Y Combinator, we won't be able to seize the times without taking many shots.

Looking at each business, if it's not going well, we quickly pivot.
We pivot, rethink the business, and re-challenge with speed.
By doing so, through countless challenges and hypothesis testing, we can give shape to the business.
Including that process, partners who develop businesses with us will absorb and grow.
Purely, to succeed in business, you cannot understand its essence without challenging many times.

Luck smiles only on those who keep challenging without giving up.

I hope to continuously challenge like this and give back the answers I find to everyone.
I will desperately acquire and convey experience and knowledge, sacrificing sleep daily.
I believe that is my vision and will contribute to revitalizing society.
Instead of having much material desire, I guess I'm given this kind of ambition.

Currently, Japan's understanding of entrepreneurship is still shallow.
The ecosystem to promote entrepreneurship is also like a newborn baby.
Therefore, even with small efforts, by each person contributing like this, we need to accelerate growth even a little.
When many people get excited about entrepreneurship and gain the power to create new jobs, all problems will be solved.

I want to see a society where everyone enjoys their work instead of wasting time on jobs they don't want to do.
I want to see a society where everyone is excited and materializes their ideas as soon as they come to mind.
That's why I hope to convey the excitement of entrepreneurship by continuing to take action like this.

By the way, I'm going to the American West Coast for about half a month soon.
I will travel from Seattle to Silicon Valley, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas.
Among them, I will also stop by Stanford University, and I would be happy if I could convey even a little of the entrepreneurial spirit of its home ground.
The area around Stanford is Silicon Valley, so it's the center of business creation.
I can't wait to experience the local energy from now on.

Ten years ago, after meeting local entrepreneurs in Los Angeles, I became interested in entrepreneurship.
There were already many people there who created businesses as if they were playing.
Of course, there were difficult things, but they seemed to be having so much fun and were excited.
After returning to Japan, I experienced disappointment due to the gap in work culture.
Creating more work and businesses is something exciting if handled properly.
I'm sure I want everyone to know about that.
