Mental strength! When I say that, it sounds a bit suspicious, doesn't it! I wonder why.
Don't worry, I'm not selling any strange products. Please rest assured.
But I think it's an important thing.
Because for humans, mental state is involved in everything they do. If you don't train your mental strength, you won't succeed in anything in this day and age.
Oh, it might have been different for musicians of a bygone era. Their minds were unstable, and their spirituality was revered, but that era is long over! Wake up from your dream quickly and train your mind!
With that said.
I was talking about mental strength. For example, when you're young, your mind can be swayed by even small things, right?
Like fighting with your girlfriend, or sending too many LINE messages to someone you like. And then, after sending them, you might regret it, thinking 'Ugh, I shouldn't have sent that.' Or getting irritated by small things.
Well, I think there are various things.
Even for me now, my mental strength used to be very weak.
So, what exactly makes mental strength increase? How can I increase my mental resilience with small things?
If you feel your mental resilience is a bit lacking, please think about it with me.
Isn't this just about the amount of experience you have?
That's right. I'll just get straight to the conclusion!
I wonder if it's about how much pain you've been forced to endure so far.
For example, let's say you've had an experience in life that is generally considered 'tough'.
Then, anything less than that experience becomes equivalent to 'nothing'.
No, I can't quite say it's nothing.
I still get irritated each time, though.
But then you'll be able to solve everything with 'that's just how it is'. It's strange!
This might be less about mental resilience and more about 'not expecting anything' in the first place.
You start to assume the worst-case scenario for everything that happens in the world.
And from the beginning, you don't expect much, and you start to think it's lucky if things turn out well.
Even if the worst situation happens, you've already anticipated it, so you just think, 'Ah, I knew it.'
You'll be able to think like that.
Of course, if such experiences continue many times, even with mental resilience, you'll reach your limit.
But the point is that your mental capacity to endure will significantly increase.
Let's train our mental resilience!
If you want to increase your mental resilience, experience many things and fail a lot!
But well, you don't have to force yourself to go out and fail just to increase your mental resilience. lol
Of course, you do something to succeed, and when you still fail, that's why it hurts.
There's no need to fail on purpose; it's always better to succeed. lol
Humans, even living a very ordinary life, experience a lot of 'tough things'.
During that time, you gradually get stronger = you start to think 'that's just how it is' about troubles and negative reactions.
That's why it makes sense that salespeople, for example, really strengthen their minds.
Most of the stress humans experience comes from interpersonal relationships!
The more a job involves people, the more stress it's bound to cause.
Also, web directors, for example. lol I apologize for this becoming a personal anecdote.
Directors in design or web fields really bear a heavy mental load, don't they?
Because they have to bring designs, which each have different sensibilities, to a single conclusion!
I try not to do much direction.
Even if something happens, please don't leave the direction to me. lol
Even among salespeople and directors, there are some who act like kids.
But sooner or later, 'being rubbed by people' means increasing your mental strength, I think.
And then, you won't be fazed by minor things. You get used to it.
Being scolded for failing, or getting yelled at when things don't go well.
I think there are many things, but to overcome them, you change your way of thinking.
Humans can become anything, you know.
Well, in short, 'getting used to' failure and emotional pain increases mental strength.
People who want to become mentally stronger should challenge themselves a lot.
And, you need the experience of repeating failures and successes to get used to everything.
Moreover, you don't get stronger after just one or two times.
You have to experience it again and again...
Summary
I myself don't think I was that strong-hearted in the past.
Rather, it's safe to say I was quite weak.
I used to get scared at night, thinking, 'What if my heart stops like this?' lol
But for some reason, now I'm not fazed by most things.
I tried to think, 'Why is that?'
Looking back now, what I had was the feeling of 'I want to do something interesting'.
So, I would get involved in various things and at least take on challenges.
During that time, there were many instances where I almost broke down or got caught up in trouble.
After experiencing difficult things many times, my mind finally started to stabilize.
As I said earlier, I stopped expecting too much from reality in a good way, thinking 'that's just how it is'.
Of course, I have expectations. I hope things turn out well.
But still, somewhere, I'm not willing to put all my eggs in that basket of expectation.
So, I think my mind is prepared enough to endure whatever happens.
Also, simply getting used to things is a big factor.
Getting used to trouble (I really don't want to get used to it lol).
So, if you want to increase your mental strength, do various things!
It's about challenging many different things, getting involved, and repeating many successes and failures!
Actually, there's no other way to increase your mental strength! Right.
You're not going to die from it, so let's learn and live by making various mistakes!
